Preferential Access to International Markets - The Dominican Republic has
developed a policy of promoting trade integration with North America, Central America,
Latin America, the Caribbean and the European Market.

The Dominican Republic has Free Trade agreements with more than 48 countries in the world which grants duty free access to markets in the United States and the European Economic Community, Central America, Caricom, Panamá thus creating additional competitiveness for the global companies that have established themselves in the country.

The Dominican Republic already has signed a free trade agreement with Central America, a similar agreement with the Caribbean Community (“CARICOM''), and a partial international treaty with the Republic of Panama.
